3 way match of Invoice to Receipt

I am trying to find if SL has a feature of 3 way match to match the Invoice to receipt.

I know it is designed to automatically create a voucher from a receipt and allows to create a Receipt and an invoice at the same time. so, does this still requires the 3 way matching?
