A customer has a custom built screen - there is no source code available for it. It's a relatively simple screen, and they would like a couple of customizations for it. Here's what I need to be able to do:
There are 3 filters at the top of the screen: a beginning and ending date, plus a username. After populating those three fields, a 'Refresh' button is pushed which retrieves rows to populate the grid. I need to be able to add an additional filter textbox to the top of the grid, and then populate the grid with the items retrieved from the database using those 4 parameters. I know I will need to hide the existing Refresh button and create my own, as well as create a new stored procedure for retrieving the data using the 4 parameters. Those are easy enough.. I need help with being able to add a text box to the filters section. Since I don't have access to the code which created the Filter type/buffer, I'm not sure how to add to that, or how to create a new type that will be accessible to the Add objects wizard when adding a text box. The other thing is I need some assistance with how to populate the grid.. I can get the memory handle for it when the form loads, but can't find good code to retrieve the data and load it into the grid.
Any assistance with either of those items would be helpful. SL Customization documentation doesn't seem to be complete on those items, so thank you in advance for whatever guidance you can give.
