Correcting costs for standard items

Hi

I have a issue in the inventory and I am hoping that someone might be able to assist.

The user did a revaluation of the inventory using the "update standard costs from pending" but did the same item twice therefore there is an overstating of the inventory.

Is there anyway in which this could be corrected?  

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
