My company currently distributes items that have specific IDs associated with each individual item. Say we have some computer, model X. Each unit of model X will have a unique 7 digit number attached to it, and we need to keep track of which tags are sold to each of our customers. To do this, we currently have separate sites built for each of our customers. For instance, even though we have one warehouse facility, we will receive goods into sites A, B, C, etc., with goods in site A designated for customer 1, goods in site B designated for customer 2, etc. My question is, is there a better way to designate specific goods to specific customers, or is by site the best way? It seems we are using Dynamics in a way that it was not designed.
